Welcome to BADAC

Welcome to Bishop Auckland and District Angling Club (BADAC), proudly recognised as one of the premier angling clubs in the North East of England.

Established in 1936, BADAC offers members over 17 miles of outstanding game fishing on the River Wear, including more than 45 named pools. Our waters provide exceptional opportunities to fish for salmon, sea trout, brown trout, and grayling in beautiful and well-managed surroundings.

Annual membership is available for £160 per year for adults (£190 for those joining after 1st March). Junior membership (under 18 years old) is free, subject to application conditions. Members enjoy full access to our extensive stretch of the River Wear and the excellent fishing it provides.

We pride ourselves on being a friendly and welcoming club. New members can expect a warm reception, along with support and advice from experienced anglers who are always happy to share their knowledge. Visitors are also welcome and may fish BADAC waters by purchasing a day ticket.
